Welcome to the Regional Professional Learning Conference, a collaborative effort of 16 school districts with a goal to provide quality professional development for special area educators in southeastern Connecticut. This customized offering is the culmination of a year-long endeavor to create meaningful learning experiences for educators who share similar roles within their respective districts. Your facilitators for the day are volunteers from the host district who helped develop the course offering and who work in your area of expertise. We are pleased to have this opportunity to develop ongoing relationships with a cadre of experts in library media science.
You will:

  • Meet other Library Media Specialists from school districts throughout the region
  • Collaborate and share effective teaching strategies
  • Work in teams with LMS colleagues
  • Acquire Best Practices through a team-sharing approach
  • Participate in web-based activities

Please come prepared to share with the group something you use which you have found particularly effective in your work. This might be a strategy, a resource (e.g. web site), or a specific activity or lesson.
